How does cannabis help people?

The cannabinoids in cannabis (phytocannabinoids – plant molecules) mirror the endocannabinoids (body molecules) already produced by our bodies and so not only help the body perform to its optimum but encourages the body to produce more of its own cannabinoids, which interact with the endocannabinoid system making the body and mind work better and be healthier.

What is the Endocannabinoid System?

The endocannabinoid system is responsible for homeostasis in every animal with a backbone. This is the homeostatic regulator of almost every physiological system in the body. It has a regulatory role on pain, inflammation, memory, emotion, sleep and metabolic function. It has receptors in almost every part of the body. Specifically the brain, spine and nervous system, as well as in the immune system. It is the biggest system in the human body. Some scientists say a deficient endocannabinoid system is the route of many diseases.

What is Whole Plant Medicine?

When CBD and THC are consumed as whole plant medicine they work together synergistically. In other words, “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” All the cannabinoids help each other work better, this is known as ‘The Entourage Effect’. CBD oil will not have anywhere near the efficacy of whole plant medicine if an isolate is used.

Will CBD oil cure cancer?

Cannabis contains many molecules which aid the body in many different ways. CBD is an incredibly strong molecule within the cannabis plant which balances and supports the body’s natural processes. CBD is a vitally important healing molecule of the cannabis plant. If you have cancer CBD will help your body to become strong, more able to fight infection, increase recovery and more able to cope with, both mentally and physically, the conventional medical cancer treatments. CBD is NOT known as an effective cancer treatment on its own.
